It came the other day. And 24 hours later, so did we.
I’ll start again. Mr. Kinnk was out at work, doing important but boring stuff in an office somewhere. I was working at home and a ‘knock-knock’ came from the door.
After I opened the door, Postman Pat (or it could have been Nigel or Barry) thrust the innocuous looking brown package into my hands. And I smiled a secret smile. My latest sex toy had arrived.

Back to my parcel. I quickly unwrapped the plain packaging and found a very sophisticated white box containing my red We Vibe II, a set of instructions and a charger.
As the vibrator is rechargeable, the first thing one has to do is charge it fully for 24 hours before the first use. This is very important, as even though it is tempting to have a little play before 24 hours has elapsed (impatient? moi?) the battery needs this time to reach its full capacity.
The body of the We Vibe is made from medical self-healing silicone. It is completely sealed and waterproof. The We Vibe II is also a rechargeable toy, with an inbuilt battery, sealed inside the upper body of toy.
Access to the charging point is made by finding the indentation on the upper part of the toy and pushing the charging lead inside.
Once the charger is removed the self-healing silicone simply reseals itself, making the toy waterproof once more. I think this is brilliant. Such a good idea: no worries about replacing batteries, or problems with water entering the electrics.
There is a choice of three colors: red, purple or blue. The toy itself is a C shape, with a larger and smaller flattened pad at each end of the C. The larger end contains the battery and charging point. It has a button which is pushed to turn it on and allows the user to select one of nine different vibration modes, varying in speed and intensity.
This is very simple to use, you can cycle through the modes to find the desired pattern of vibration, and to turn it off, you just hold the button down. When you turn it on again it will remember your last selection.
How does it work?
The vibrator is very quiet, especially considering how powerful it is. The C shape is very comfortable to wear and makes it one of the very few hands-free vibrators that does not require a strap or special harness to hold it in place.
The hands-free function is not just a boon with couple use, as it can be used for solo play when standing up or in any given situation. Use your imagination! For use with a lover, some water-based lubrication can make penetration easier.

So, would I (we) recommend the We Vibe II? Yes, yes, yes. Such an innovative and well-designed toy. It looks like a sophisticated piece of equipment; it is totally waterproof and can be used when having sex without requiring one person having to hold a toy directly to the clitoris or any other area.
It is a doddle to clean, just requiring soap and water, or any other recommended sex toy cleanser. Rechargeable means no fiddling with batteries. Once fully charged it will buzz happily for two hours.
It is quiet, so can be used with abandon without waking the neighbors. The only downside? Having to wait the initial 24 hours for my first go!
