With its distinct red color and shape, it really stands out from other toys on the market. Tenga Inc. started out in 2005, the brain child of Koichi Matsumoto who actually came from a background of a classic & super car mechanic. Expect similar high-speed thrills here.
The Deep Throat is unique in being supplied all lubed up and ready to go. One simply has to peel off the shrink wrap off, unscrew the lid and peel back the air whole sticker at the top. Then you are ready to go.

Compared to other toys, like the Fleshlight range, the Deep Throat appears small and stumpy its stature. However, in use it is amply long enough to accommodate one’s length.
The hole at the business end is quite small and tight, but stretches as necessary, but you will need to be hard before you start to push in.
The inside of the Deep Throat is made from realistic feel TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer), free from latex and phthalates, which is good and feels lovely and soft. Deep inside there is plenty textured shapes to create strong stimulation.
Tenga extol the virtues of their unique suction system on the Deep Throat, that can generate a virtual vacuum. Designed to give maximum pleasure and mimic real intercourse, but with greater intensity. The vacuum can be fine-tuned by placing one’s finger over the vent hole at the top.
In practice it works well, providing a more intense sensation on the pulling out of each stroking motion. However, covering the vent when pushing in generates a disconcerting farting sound and squirts excess lube out of the base all over oneself.
Once you get yourself going, the Deep Throat feels very good, strong and intense. The key is synchronizing your finger over the vent, to prevent distracting noise and mess. Once achieved, climax is often quickly reached and usually so intense that one has to stop moving the Deep Throat.
Cleaning it is horrible
Cleaning up afterwards however is where this product really falls down or wins, depending on how you look at it. It’s actually marketed as a once only toy. Yes, you read that correct, one go, then bin. Easy!
However, I had read many reports of people cleaning them for reuse, obviously re-lubing them next time. Cleaning is easier said than done. Swilling it out under the tap is tedious as you can’t get access to the insides.
I couldn’t reach inside very deep with my fingers to clean it out with soap either. I ended up resorting to shaking it like a tough bottle of ketchup, to extract spent spunk and excess water, repeating for the holes both ends. In doing so, I also managed to shake out a couple of foam inserts from inside it!
After just two uses and difficult cleans I also managed to tear a rip in the soft TPE near the main hole.
My final conclusion of the Tenga Deep Throat Onacup Review
Overall, I really wanted to like this product, at first it looked like a promising alternative to the Fleshlight. More discreet and with a minimal functionally appearance, which I actually prefer to the realistic looking Fleshlight.
However, as a one-use toy, it is essentially an expensive novelty. Cleaning it is such a faff, I probably won’t bother using it, favoring something easier. I also have severe doubts it would last for that long when used repeatedly too.
Sure, a Fleshlight is more expensive, but ultimately four wanks and you’ve got a better deal than this Tenga Deep Throat. With that reasoning I can’t really recommend the Deep Throat, which is a big shame really, as it does feel great.
Maybe if you’re away on business alone, in a Japanese hotel and you spot one of these in a vending machine, then treat yourself.
